About
I'm Jon Lombard, the engineer behind IntegraBlue.
Senior full-stack engineer — C#/.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, Azure — owning delivery from database to cloud to CI/CD.
IntegraBlue is how I take that on: a one-person practice where the person you vet is the person who does the work. No layers, no handoffs — just a senior engineer you can talk to directly.
The story
A senior engineer, embedded in the work.
I've spent my career inside delivery teams, not beside them. Right now I'm embedded full-time with a mid-size corporate client, owning features from the database schema all the way out to the cloud and the CI/CD pipeline that ships them. That's the ground the rest of this stands on: real delivery, in production, day after day.
That's the Spearhead, and everything else sits under it as supporting evidence. I'm not selling one framework or a fixed toolbox. I learn whatever the problem needs, because on real delivery the stack serves the problem, not the other way round — and picking up a new technology is a feature of how I work, not a risk you take on.
How I work
Four habits, not a poster on the wall.
I own it end-to-end. Schema, API, frontend, deployment pipeline, the 2 a.m. production incident — if it's part of the delivery, it's mine. "That's not my job" isn't a phrase I use.
I give straight answers. Honest scoping and honest capacity, even when the honest answer costs me the work. I'll cap a small build at around ten effort-days and offer a phase-one slice rather than overpromise on time my embedded engagement already spends.
I learn what the problem needs. The interesting problems rarely respect the edge of a single stack. I'd rather pick up the right tool and own the outcome than force a familiar one and hand you a compromise.
It stays personal, not corporate. You deal with one named person from the first email to handover. The senior you meet is the one who builds — no account manager in the middle, no junior quietly doing the real work once the contract is signed.
Working together
The practical part.
- Where I work
- I'm UK-based and remote-first: working remotely with teams anywhere in the UK; on-site by arrangement.
- AI tooling
- I use modern AI tooling in my own work; on client engagements I follow your AI policy — client code never goes anywhere you haven't approved.
Sound like the engineer you need?
If you're vetting me for a contract or you've a small, well-defined build in mind, the fastest thing is to tell me about it.
